Say, (O Muhammad ﷺ) "To Allah belong both, east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight way."

Allah said: "Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted. So you both keep to the straight way (i.e. keep on doing good deeds and preaching Allah's Message with patience), and follow not the path of those who know not (the truth i.e. to believe in the Oneness of Allah, and also to believe in the Reward of Allah: Paradise, etc.)."

And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.).
