  • Chapter 21, Verse 78, The Prophets
    سورة الأنبياء
    وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ إِذۡ يَحۡكُمَانِ فِي ٱلۡحَرۡثِ إِذۡ نَفَشَتۡ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكۡمِهِمۡ شَٰهِدِينَ
    And (remember) Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and We were witness to their judgement.
  • Chapter 21, Verse 81, The Prophets
    سورة الأنبياء
    وَلِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةٗ تَجۡرِي بِأَمۡرِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَاۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَٰلِمِينَ
    And to Sulaiman (solomon) (We subjected) the wind strongly raging, running by his command towards the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are the All-Knower.
  • Chapter 27, Verse 15, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ عِلۡمٗاۖ وَقَالَا ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٖ مِّنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
    And indeed We gave knowledge to Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (solomon), and they both said: "All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has preferred us above many of His believing slaves!"
  • Chapter 27, Verse 16, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    وَوَرِثَ سُلَيۡمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَۖ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمۡنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيۡرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
    And Sulaiman (solomon) inherited (the knowledge of) Dawud (David). He said: "O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and on us have been bestowed all things. This, verily, is an evident grace (from Allah)."
  • Chapter 27, Verse 17, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيۡرِ فَهُمۡ يُوزَعُونَ
    And there were gathered before Sulaiman (solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards).
  • Chapter 27, Verse 18, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوۡاْ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمۡلِ قَالَتۡ نَمۡلَةٞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمۡلُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ مَسَٰكِنَكُمۡ لَا يَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ سُلَيۡمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
    Till, when they came to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said: "O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Sulaiman (solomon) and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not."
  • Chapter 27, Verse 27, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    ۞قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
    [Sulaiman (solomon)] said: "We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are (one) of the liars.
  • Chapter 27, Verse 30, The Ant
    سورة النمل
    إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَيۡمَٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
    "Verily! It is from Sulaiman (solomon), and verily! It (reads): In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful;
  • Chapter 38, Verse 30, Sad
    سورة ص
    وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
    And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)!
  • Chapter 38, Verse 39, Sad
    سورة ص
    هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمۡنُنۡ أَوۡ أَمۡسِكۡ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٖ
    [Saying of Allah to Sulaiman (solomon)]: "This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked."
