  • Chapter 2, Verse 185, The Cow
shahru ramadana allathee onzila feehi alquranu hudan lilnnasi wabayyinatin mina alhuda waalfurqani faman shahida minkumu alshshahra falyasumhu waman kana mareedan aw aaala safarin faaaiddatun min ayyamin okhara yureedu allahu bikumu alyusra wala yureedu bikumu alaausra walitukmiloo alaaiddata walitukabbiroo allaha aaala ma hadakum walaaaallakum tashkuroona
The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.
  • Chapter 5, Verse 101, The Table Spread

O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if you ask about them while the quran is being revealed, they will be made plain to you. Allah has forgiven that, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
  • Chapter 6, Verse 19, The cattle
qul ayyu shayin akbaru shahadatan quli allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiya ilayya hatha alquranu lionthirakum bihi waman balagha ainnakum latashhadoona anna maaaa allahi alihatan okhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahun wahidun wainnanee bareeon mimma tushrikoona
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "What thing is the most great in witness?" Say: "Allah (the Most Great!) is Witness between me and you; this quran has been revealed to me that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Can you verily bear witness that besides Allah there are other aliha (gods)?" Say "I bear no (such) witness!" Say: "But in truth He (Allah) is the only one Ilah (God). And truly I am innocent of what you join in worship with Him."
  • Chapter 7, Verse 204, The heights
waitha quria alquranu faistamiaaoo lahu waansitoo laaaallakum turhamoona
So, when the quran is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy. [i.e. during the compulsory congregational prayers when the Imam (of a mosque) is leading the prayer (except Surat Al-Fatiha), and also when he is delivering the Friday-prayer Khutbah]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 9, Pages 162-4]
  • Chapter 9, Verse 111, Repentance
inna allaha ishtara mina almumineena anfusahum waamwalahum bianna lahumu aljannata yuqatiloona fee sabeeli allahi fayaqtuloona wayuqtaloona waaadan aaalayhi haqqan fee alttawrati waalinjeeli waalqurani waman awfa biaaahdihi mina allahi faistabshiroo bibayaaikumu allathee bayaaatum bihi wathalika huwa alfawzu alaaatheemu
Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the quran. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.
  • Chapter 10, Verse 15, Jonah

And when Our Clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: Bring us a quran other than this, or change it."Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear if I were to disobey my Lord, the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."
  • Chapter 10, Verse 37, Jonah
wama kana hatha alquranu an yuftara min dooni allahi walakin tasdeeqa allathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi la rayba feehi min rabbi alaaalameena
And this quran is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws and orders, etc, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt from the the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).
  • Chapter 10, Verse 61, Jonah

Whatever you (O Muhammad SAW) may be doing, and whatever portion you may be reciting from the quran, - and whatever deed you (mankind) may be doing (good or evil), We are Witness thereof, when you are doing it. And nothing is hidden from your Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom (or small ant) on the earth or in the heaven. Not what is less than that or what is greater than that but is (written) in a Clear Record. (Tafsir At-Tabari. Vol. 11, Page 129).
  • Chapter 17, Verse 78, The night journey
aqimi alssalata lidulooki alshshamsi ila ghasaqi allayli waqurana alfajri inna qurana alfajri kana mashhoodan
Perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) from mid-day till the darkness of the night (i.e. the Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, and 'Isha' prayers), and recite the quran in the early dawn (i.e. the morning prayer). Verily, the recitation of the quran in the early dawn is ever witnessed (attended by the angels in charge of mankind of the day and the night).
  • Chapter 4, Verse 82, The Women
afala yatadabbaroona alqurana walaw kana min aaindi ghayri allahi lawajadoo feehi ikhtilafan katheeran
Do they not then consider the quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions.
